I have been with North Harbour Law since 2017, joining the partnership in 2020. My practice focuses primarily on property and commercial matters. I have a particular interest in complex residential and commercial subdivisions and the sale and purchase of businesses.

My formative years were spent in Auckland on the South side of the bridge, where I attended Auckland Grammar before spreading the proverbial wings and heading down to Otago University, where I completed – in between pursuing all of the fantastic extra-curricular activities on offer – a BA/LLB.

The first few years of my career were spent in corporate law in Auckland. I then made the pilgrimage to London for my OE (via a few adventurous pit-stops on the way), where I primarily worked in business development for a magic circle law firm, gaining great commercial experience across a range of client industries.

On my return to New Zealand in 2017, I joined my father Chris and the rest of the extremely talented team at North Harbour Law in practice. Around this time, my wife Sally and I ‘saw the light’, and moved our family North of the bridge, and we haven’t looked back since.

We absolutely love living on the North Shore with our two young girls, enjoying all that it has to offer – especially the beaches! I also love being able to come to work at North Harbour Law, assisting my clients with all of their legal needs. The Hibiscus Coast is a truly unique place in New Zealand – whilst the beaches and surrounding areas are an obvious drawcard, it is also full of some of the friendliest and most easy-going people you will find anywhere, who at the same time are proactive, ambitious and innovative. This makes for a dynamic and exciting work environment where no two days are ever the same. I particularly enjoy helping clients to achieve their end goals and to not get stuck in the weeds along the way by finding practical, efficient solutions to seemingly complex issues.
